Terms of Service
The short version. Everything made on SeeQuick is public. Every video appears on the main feed and in its creator's library, for everyone to watch. There are no private or unlisted videos, and that will not change if we ever offer paid plans. Do not put anything in a prompt or image that you would not want the whole world to see.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
See Quick ("we", "us") runs Covais. These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the site, the mobile app and anything else we offer under the Covais name (the "Service"). By signing in, creating a video or commenting, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, and able to form a binding agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
You create an account with a username, your email address and a password. We keep the email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of the password, and use them to run your account and channel, send sign in codes and password resets, and contact you about your account. Choose a strong password and keep it private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it. You may not sell, share or transfer your account.
3. What the Service does
You write a prompt and choose options such as length, shape, quality, frame rate, seed, sound and optional reference images. Your request joins a queue. We render requests in batches on computers that we rent for that purpose, so a video can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to appear, and we do not promise a particular time. When a video is finished it is published automatically. A video is AI generated, so it may not match your prompt, may contain mistakes or odd results, and may look similar to videos other people make.
We may refuse, cancel, hold back or remove a request or video at any time, including when an automatic safety check flags it, when it breaks these terms, or when we cannot render it. We may change the options, limits and quality we offer.
4. All videos are public
- Every video you create is published on SeeQuick. It appears on the main feed, in search and category pages, and in your library and channel, and anyone can watch, share and link to it.
- The prompt you wrote is shown with the video. Other people can reuse a prompt to make their own video.
- There are no private, unlisted, hidden or members only videos. We do not offer them today and no paid plan, credit, upgrade or priority option that we may add in the future will include them. Paying for a longer video, higher quality, a faster place in the queue or any other feature changes how a video is made, never whether it is public or whether it appears on the main feed.
- Paying does not give you exclusive rights in a video and does not remove it from the main feed.
- You can delete a video from your library at any time. Deleting removes the video, all of its versions and its comments from SeeQuick. Copies that other people have already downloaded, shared or embedded, and short lived caches and backups on our systems, may remain for a while.
5. Your content and our license
You keep whatever rights you have in the prompts, descriptions, reference images and comments you submit ("Your Content"). You promise that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
You give us a worldwide, royalty free, non exclusive license to host, store, copy, process, display, stream, adapt and distribute Your Content and the videos made from it, on the Service and in connection with running, promoting and improving it. That includes making new versions of a video from viewer feedback and keeping older versions available. The license continues for copies we reasonably need to keep for legal reasons or that others have already shared, and ends for the rest when you delete the content.
Videos are generated by AI. The law on who owns AI generated material is unsettled and differs between countries, so we cannot promise that anyone holds copyright in a video. To the extent you have any rights in a video you create, you give viewers the right to watch it and share links to it on SeeQuick, and you give us the license above. Nothing in these terms stops other people from making similar videos.
6. Comments and the feedback loop
SeeQuick works on feedback. Comments on a video are checked by AI, which keeps genuine, constructive comments and may hide spam, abuse, repeated or off topic comments. Genuine comments are used to write instructions for new versions of the video, and the older versions stay available. The AI makes mistakes, so a comment may be kept or hidden wrongly, and a new version may not reflect what a commenter hoped for. By commenting you agree that we may read and use your comment this way.
7. Reference images
You may upload up to two reference images (first and last frame) with a request. Only upload images you took or have the right to use. Do not upload images of other people without their permission, images of children, or images that are explicit, hateful, violent or illegal. Uploaded images are re-encoded and checked automatically, sent to the rented computer that renders your video, and deleted from our servers once your video is made or the request is cancelled. The video made from an image is public and may show things that came from it.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to make, upload or post:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual or pornographic content.
- Realistic videos of real, identifiable people, including deepfakes, impersonation, or content meant to deceive people about real events.
- Content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, graphically violent, or that encourages self harm or dangerous acts.
- Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, including famous characters, brands and logos.
- Spam, scams, malware, or attempts to get around limits, safety checks or the queue, to attack or overload the Service, or to scrape it in bulk.
We use automatic checks on prompts, images, finished videos and comments. They are not perfect. We may remove content, limit or suspend accounts, and report illegal content to the authorities.
9. Reporting content and copyright
If you think a video or comment breaks these terms or your rights, email [email protected] with a link and a short explanation, and we will review it. For copyright, include your contact details, what work you own, where the material is, and a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We remove material when we are required to, and we may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
10. Free use, limits and future plans
SeeQuick is free to use. Each account can start up to 3 videos per day, and we may change this limit.
We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, they will be described when you are asked to pay, and they will never include private or unlisted videos (see section 4). Any price, refund and billing terms will be shown at that time.
11. Other companies that help us run the Service
To provide the Service we use other companies. A robot check provider (Cloudflare, hCaptcha or Google, depending on our settings) helps keep automated sign ups out, and an email service delivers our messages. Your prompts and any reference images are sent to a computer we rent from a GPU cloud provider (currently Vast.ai) to render your video, and that computer is destroyed when its batch is finished. Prompts, comments and images may be sent to an AI service, such as OpenAI, for safety checks, to improve prompts you ask us to polish, and to write titles and new version instructions. Our hosting provider stores the site and the files. These companies handle data under their own terms, and we send them only what is needed for the task.
12. Your data
We keep your account details, requests, videos, comments, likes, history and playlists so the Service works. Videos, prompts, channel name and picture, and comments are public. Your email address is not shown to other members. You can delete your videos at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing us. We keep what the law requires us to keep.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, that a video will be made by any date or at all, that a video will match your prompt, or that content on the Service is accurate, safe or legal. Videos are made by AI and are not advice of any kind. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they apply only as far as the law allows.
14. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, See Quick and the people who work for it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and costs that come from Your Content or from your breach of these terms.
15. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, and remove content, if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop running the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive, including 4, 5, 13, 14 and 16, do so.
16. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. When the changes matter, we will change the date at the top and ask you to agree again before you create your next video. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
